New Alexa rankings with new changes
Today when i saw my Alexa ranking, i was shock The Alexa ranking was totally so low, with high numbers, as my previous was about 1,400,000(was getting better on next updates) and the new rank is 2,646,682 :(. Whether it is a good thing or not, i went to the Alexa website to check what’s new. And i found out the Alexa announcement, mentioning a new way of showing rankings. :).
Here’s one part of it mentioned from the announcement website.
My site’s ranking has changed. Was it wrong before?
Your ranking wasn’t wrong before, but it was different. Alexa toolbar users’ interests and surfing habits could differ from those of the general population in a number of ways, and we described some of those possible differences on our website. While the vast majority of sites’ rankings were unaffected by such differences, we’ve worked hard on our new ranking system to adjust for situations in which they could matter.
The new rankings should better reflect the interests and surfing habits of the broader population of Web users.
Now i think i have to try checking the new Alexa rankings for traffic analysis. As we all webmaster and SEO, buyers are all also depends on Alexa ranking to see how much traffic can the website they visit can produce for them, in terms of earning, and knowing how many readers there are on that traffic. One of my post about search engines new options with Alexa, i think there will be a lot of changes in terms of number showing rather of traffic gain to their website search engines.

Yeah, was sad at first saw my alexa down at first, but slowly, i am sure it will went back to normal soon.
